Services to Schools
Center for Psychological
Services has a well-qualified and trained staff
that is available to meet the needs of schools,
school districts, and co-ops. Our clinical
psychologists have extensive training and are
supervised by our staff of certified school
psychologists in their work for schools. When a
school district has the need for a certified
school psychologist CPS is able to assist
schools in many ways;
- Provide a well-trained
psychologist on a long-term basis for
the full school year
- Provide a psychologist
on a per diem basis until the school
district hires its own psychologist
- Provide a psychologist
to perform psychological test batteries
on a case by case basis
- Provide “second
opinion” psychological testing where a
prospect of a due process looms
- Provide alternative
testing for school districts when use of
their own psychologist would be
inappropriate
- Provide psychologists
to observe students, interview teachers, and
create an objective behavioral
intervention plan
- Provide psychologists
to administer psychological testing at
off-site locations such as therapeutic
day schools, hospitals, and out of state
loactions
- Provide psychologists
for assessment of giftedness or early
admission to kindergarten
- Provide a psychologist
to assess risk for maintaining
students after involvement or
near-involvement in critical incidents
- Provision of
psychologists for training staff,
faculty, and parent body
- Provide psychologists
who will develop local norms for
curriculum-based assessments
