Dr. Cornette is a
licensed clinical psychologist who works with
children, adolescents, adults, and their
families. Dr. Cornette received her Bachelor of
Arts Degree in Psychology from Creighton
University in Omaha, NE. She received her
Master’s Degree and her Doctoral Degree in
Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of
Professional Psychology. She completed her
post-doctorate fellowship at Linden Oaks
Hospital in Naperville, IL on the inpatient
child and adolescent psychiatric unit. In
addition, Dr. Cornette has completed extensive
training in understanding and diagnosing
disorders along the Autism Spectrum.
With primary clinical interests in adult,
adolescent, and child psychotherapy, Dr.
Cornette’s approach emphasizes a
psychoanalytically informed method as well as a
use of cognitive-behavioral and solution focused
interventions. She specializes in diagnostic
services including but not limited to ruling out
Emotional Disorders, Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, and Pervasive
Developmental
Disorders. She provides consultation services
for several Chicago-area elementary schools and
high schools and has conducted a wide range of
presentations for parents and teachers.
