Mark Rauser, Psy.D.
received his Masters of Arts and Doctorate in
Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of
Professional Psychology—Chicago, with a
specialization in Child and Adolescent
Psychology. Prior to that, he attended the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,
where he obtained his Bachelors of Science in
Psychology and Economics.
Dr. Rauser has worked
individuals of all ages in various settings,
such as a child welfare agency, community mental
health center, crisis intervention center,
public and private schools, and private
practice. He has experience helping individuals
deal with various disorders, such as Depression,
Anxiety, Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity
Disorder, and interpersonal relationship
difficulties. Dr. Rauser specializes in working
with children and adolescents with severe
emotional and behavioral disorders. He
incorporates various theories into his work,
including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral,
and family systems. In addition to individual
therapy, Dr. Rauser conducts group therapy,
family therapy, and parental consultation
sessions. He has experience performing and
supervising psychological, psycho-educational,
and diagnostic assessments.
For his doctoral
dissertation, Dr. Rauser developed Project
L.I.F.E., a program designed to assist
adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral
disorders transition to independent living. He
incorporates daily living, money management,
interpersonal relationship, emotional
identification, problem-solving and conflict
resolution, and vocational skills into a
comprehensive program aimed at assisting
adolescent through a difficult life transition.
Dr. Rauser is a member of
the American Psychological Association.
