Laura Roetgerman, PsyD,
received her Masters of Arts and Doctorate in
Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of
Professional Psychology – Chicago. Prior to
that, she attended the University of Cincinnati,
where she obtained her Bachelors of Art in
Psychology.
Dr. Roetgerman has
primary clinical interests in adult, adolescent,
and child psychotherapy, and has experience
working with individuals of all ages in various
settings, such as community mental health
centers, public and private schools, inpatient
psychiatric hospitals, and private practice.
She has experience helping individuals deal with
various disorders, such as anxiety, depression,
personality disorders, anger management, and
interpersonal relationship difficulties. Dr.
Roetgerman’s therapeutic style integrates
techniques including cognitive-behavioral,
family systems, play therapy and solution
focused interventions. In addition to
individual therapy, Dr. Roetgerman has
experience conducting group and family therapy.
Additionally, Dr.
Roetgerman has experience and interests in
working with individuals who have experienced or
are experiencing grief, loss, and life
transitions (death, terminal illness,
incarceration, divorce) as well as pet loss. She
specializes in assisting individuals with
their grief, both before and after death.
Dr. Roetgerman is a
member of the American Psychological
Association, Illinois Psychological Association,
Psi Chi (The National Honor Society in
Psychology), and the Association for
Death and Education Counseling.
