Dr.Valessares’s area of
interest is neuropsychological assessment of
children and adolescents. Her specialties are
attention/hyperactivity problems, reading
disabilities, and difficulty with learning and
memory. Currently, she is completing a two-year
certificate in neuropsychological assessment
with concentration on children and adolescents.
Dr. Valessares’s educational background includes
a Psy.D. with Magna Cum Laude honors in clinical
psychology from Illinois School of Professional
Psychology and a B.A. with Phi Beta Kappa honors
from DePauw University. Her experience in
psychology includes work in schools, hospitals,
college counseling centers, nursing homes, and
forensic facilities. Additionally, she taught
elementary school for several years.
