Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder (ADHD)
Few
disorders are as under-diagnosed and
over-diagnosed at the same time. We do not
accept the notion of some that there really is
no such condition as ADHD. In some
people—children and adults—ADHD is diagnosed
when the symptoms are, in fact, caused by other
underlying conditions that mimic ADHD.
Sometimes, ordinary exuberance is seen as
“ADHD.” In other situations, individuals who
truly have either inattentive, hyperactive or
mixed ADHD are seen as being depressed or
oppositional or as having some other condition.
To make things even more complicated, other
conditions can be present, along with ADHD. CPS
psychologists have many years of experience,
both clinically and academically, in assessing
this disorder. |
