The Center for
Psychological Services, LLC (CPS) has
provided comprehensive professional services to
the metropolitan Chicago area since 1994. CPS
was established by Dr. Daniel Lilie and Dr. Paul
Kredow, clinical psychologists with training and
experience in special education. It has provided
psychological services to over twenty-five
school districts and co-ops since its inception.
Center for Psychological
Services, LLC has a staff of over thirty
professionals, including licensed clinical
psychologists, certified school psychologists,
licensed marital and family therapists,
certified alcohol and substance abuse
counselors, and licensed professional
counselors. We have close relationships with
psychiatrists and speech/language pathologists
as consultants to our practice.
Daniel R. Lilie, Ph.D.
(Indiana University, 1969) has provided special
education services since 1982. He served as
Clinical Director and psychologist for the
Institute for Behavioral Services in Oak Brook
until 1995. He was also vice president and
staff psychologist at Drake Beam Morin in
Chicago. Dr. Lilie has served on the faculties
of Beloit College, Indiana University, Loyola
University of Chicago and is currently on the
adjunct faculty of the Illinois School of
Professional Psychology, Chicago School of
Professional Psychology, Adler School of
Professional Psychology, and Roosevelt
University. He is a licensed clinical
psychologist whose areas of specialization
include neuropsychology, forensic assessment,
attention deficit hyperactivity disorder,
learning disabilities and the treatment of
adolescent and adult life adjustment disorders.
Dr. Lilie is a member of the American
Psychological Association, the National
Association of School Psychologists and the
American psychology-Law Society.
Paul C. Kredow, Psy.D.
earned his Doctoral degree in Clinical
Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional
Psychology-Illinois in 1989. Prior to that he
attained an M.A. in Guidance and Counseling from
Northeastern Illinois University in 1984. Dr.
Kredow completed his predoctoral internship
training in Pediatric Psychology at Michigan
State University’s College of Human Medicine,
Department of Pediatrics and Human Development
from 1988-89 and was awarded a post-doctoral
fellowship at Valley Children’s Hospital’s
Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics
department in Fresno, California from 1989-90.
Dr. Kredow is licensed as a
clinical psychologist in the State of Illinois.
Dr. Kredow’s areas of specialization include
evaluation and assessment of children,
adolescents, and adults with emotional disorders
and attention problems. He has broad experience
in pediatric and medical psychology, helping
families with children with chronic and acute
medical conditions, particularly related to
Inflammatory Bowel Disease, attention-deficit
disorders, and emotional difficulty. Dr. Kredow
is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of
the local chapter of Crohn’s and Colitis
Foundation (CCFA) as well as serving on the
leadership team and Camp Psychologist for CCFA
Camp Oasis in Waupaca, Wisconsin. He is a
clinical director of the CPS diagnostic and
therapy practicum site for students from
Illinois School of Professional Psychology,
Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Adler
School of Professional Psychology, Roosevelt
University, and Northwestern University. Dr.
Kredow is a member of the American Psychological
Association, Society of Pediatric Psychology,
and Illinois Psychological Association.
CPS School
Consultation Program
Center for Psychological
Services, LLC contracts with school districts to
provide consultive services as well as direct
services. Our experienced associates are
available to assist school districts with
psychoeducational assessments and behavioral
services on a case basis or per diem basis,
whichever meets the needs of the district.
CPS Assessment and
Counseling Center
Center for Psychological
Services, LLC is committed to top quality and
timely psychological evaluations. Areas of
assessment include; emotional disorders,
Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, early
childhood/developmental disorders, early school
admission, neuropsychological issues, addictions
to drugs and alcohol, child custody, disability
and workers compensation. We are also available
for “second opinion” testing, due process cases,
and those cases requiring special handling.
Bilingual associates can perform the evaluations
in Spanish, Russian, Polish, and other
languages. Follow-up counseling, psychotherapy,
and educational facilitation services are
available. Individual, marital, family, and
group therapy modalities are available.
