Emotional Disorders

Depression, anxiety, emotional effects of trauma or illness, bipolar mood disorders, and more difficult to describe conditions often require accurate diagnoses so that proper treatment can be given.  CPS offers professional diagnostic expertise for the questions raised by emotional difficulties for the individual and his or her family.  In addition to the conditions mentioned above, CPS has an expert to assess and assist victims of torture.  Also, assessments can be made by mental health professionals who speak Spanish, Russian, Polish, Tagalog and Bulgarian and who understand the background cultures.  In addition, we understand the special problems that may appear in different guises in children, on the one hand, and seniors, on the other.
