Child & Adolescent Psychology
Therapy and
assessment of children and adolescents requires
very specific skills, training, and experience.
Center for Psychological Services has
psychologists and therapists trained in working
with children from the earliest age through the
college years. Their knowledge of stages of
developmental milestones, child development,
issues of adolescence, family impact, and
transition to adulthood are important for
therapy and assessment. Some of the typical
referral issues are; the willful child,
toileting issues, enuresis and encopresis,
attachment issues, early admission to
kindergarten, separation from parents, school
refusal, learning problems, homesickness at
summer camp, behavioral problems, transition to
high school and higher education, and college
decision-making.
