Assessment for Early Admission to Kindergarten

School districts have a cut-off date for admission to Kindergarten which is usually September 1^st. It is up to the discretion of the school district to allow early admission. The individual school districts have guidelines that are available from the Director of Special Education. Part of the process usually involves standardized testing of cognitive abilities, learning aptitude, graphomotor ability, and adaptive behavior. Center for Psychological Services has Associates specially trained in assessment of younger children and have done this kind of testing for many years.
