The Center for Psychological Services has provided comprehensive psychological services to the metropolitan Chicago area since 1994. It started as a group of psychologists with experience in the areas of clinical psychology and special education and has provided psychological services to over 25 school districts and special education co-ops.
With a staff of more than 30 professionals, including certified school psychologists, licensed family therapists, certified alcohol and substance abuse counselors, as well as clinical psychologists, the Center for Psychological Services provides a wide range of professional services.
Dr. Kredow is licensed as a clinical psychologist in the State of Illinois. Dr. Kredow’s areas of specialization include evaluation and assessment of children, adolescents, and adults with emotional disorders and attention problems. He has broad experience in pediatric and medical psychology, helping families with children with chronic and acute medical conditions, particularly related to Inflammatory Bowel Disease, attention-deficit disorders, and emotional difficulty. Dr. Kredow is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the local chapter of Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (CCFA) as well as serving on the leadership team and Camp Psychologist for CCFA Camp Oasis in Waupaca, Wisconsin. He is a clinical director of the CPS diagnostic and therapy practicum site for students from Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Adler School of Professional Psychology, Roosevelt University, and Northwestern University. Dr. Kredow is a member of the American Psychological Association, Society of Pediatric Psychology, and Illinois Psychological Association.
CPS School Consultation Program
Center for Psychological Services, LLC contracts with school districts to provide consultation services as well as direct services. Our experienced associates are available to assist school districts with psychoeducational assessments and behavioral services on a case basis or per diem basis, whichever meets the needs of the district.
CPS Assessment and Counseling Center
Center for Psychological Services, LLC is committed to top quality and timely psychological evaluations. Areas of assessment include; emotional disorders, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, early childhood/developmental disorders, early school admission, neuropsychological issues, addictions to drugs and alcohol, child custody, disability and workers compensation. We are also available for “second opinion” testing, due process cases, and those cases requiring special handling. Bilingual associates can perform the evaluations in Spanish, Russian, Polish, and other languages. Follow-up counseling, psychotherapy, and educational facilitation services are available. Individual, marital, family, and group therapy modalities are available.
